The Wear Your Dreams Story

Wear Your Dreams Fine Art Jewelry is founded by Amy Roznowski. She was obviously an Artist beginning at a young age. At 5, her first “masterpiece” was a handmade dress made for her Mom for Mothers Day. Amy asked for a long skirt she could cut up. A few stitches, ribbon and the ever popular silk flower. (Her Mom wore it all day and Amy now has it) At 7, she moved on to master plastic & baked clay jewelry. She sold them door to door in her neighborhood for $5 apiece. At 9, Amy took all her allowance and bought packs of  Socks which she designed with puffy paint and sold them at her first craft fair. At 13 she applied with help to The Fashion Institute Of Technology in New York studying Fashion, Window and  Jewelry Design as a summer course. Ceramics were aced, beginning High School where her sculpture, color and glaze combinations received A’s. There was no question Art School was eminent.

At 19 she moved cross-country from New Jersey to California to study for her Undergraduate Degree in Fine Art at the San Francisco Art Institute. She began creating as a Printmaker, large Sculpture and Wearable Art. She was commissioned to produce her first Fashion Show at the school. One of those photos was as chosen for the cover of the annual FIT Directory. Directly after graduating with honors she moved to England for Masters Studies at the Royal College of Art in London.  (Out of 10,000 applicants, she was among the 18 accepted and the only one from America) Those friends from around the world are still important to her.  Her second summer she received a full grant scholarship to study in Paris.

After a stellar education, Amy began to think WHAT NOW? Degrees in hand, Amy landed in Olympia, WA where she was born. She opened an Art Studio and was commissioned once again for a Wearable Art Fashion Show at the pavilion down on Budd Inlet. It was called “Here Today, Gone Tomorrow” Upon the opening of the new Kenneth J. Minaert Center for the Arts Gallery on the SPSCC campus. Amy was invited to be the feature Artist for the “JAVA DIVAS” opening. All of the Artists submitted palm size art relating to coffee. Amy was the exception who created a complete wedding gown with a 10 foot train, bouquet and veil out of over 5,000 coffee filters named AND TWO SHALL BECOME ONE. She wore it herself and was photographed at Priest Point Park as Performance Art before showing in the Gallery.

The question of WHAT NOW continued as a dream and began to unfold when Amy began to visualize and combine her knowledge and experiences. Those huge sculptures that appeared like giant jewelry in galleries and window fronts began to take shape in her mind as a One of a Kind Jewelry where each became a tiny wearable sculpture. Thus, WEAR YOUR DREAMS Fine Art Jewelry began 14 years ago. Too many galleries and craft fairs later, Amy is finally virtual, reaching out worldwide with her one of a kind sculptural jewelry creation business.
